SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a non-woven material (1A) comprising a plurality of fusion bonded sections (12) formed due to bonding of the constituent fibers (11) together at their intersections by fusion, wherein the constituent fibers (11) comprise a fiber with high relative elongation. If one focuses attention on one of the constituent fibers (11), the constituent fiber (11) between the adjacent fusion bonded sections (12, 12) includes a large diameter section (17) which has a large fiber diameter and is located between two small diameter sections (16, 16) having a small fiber diameter. In this case, the hydrophilicity level of the small diameter section (16) becomes less than the hydrophilicity level of the large diameter section (17).
EFFECT: increased fluid permeability and improved texture of the non-woven fabric to the touch.
