FIELD: chemistry; metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of molybdenum powder. Method includes the charging of molybdenum oxide MoO3 into the boat, loading of the boat into the tubular furnace, feeding of hydrogen into the tubular furnace, and two-step reduction of the molybdenum oxide MoO3 with the advance motion of the boat in the furnace. Hydrogen supply is carried out concurrently along the movement direction of the boats at a flow rate of 20 l/min in the first and second reduction stages. In the first stage of reduction, hydrogen is supplied with a dew point of 50–60 °C while the speed of boat movement in the furnace is 12–15 mm/min, and in the second stage – with a dew point of 60 °C while the speed of boat movement in the furnace is 30 mm/min.
EFFECT: production of ultrafine molybdenum powder with a specific surface of 3,0 m2/g is provided.
