FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nondestructive testing and can be used to prevent a fire in the event of a malfunction in the electrical network. Method of non-destructive testing of faults in the electric network includes connection of the input shield to electrical installation through the transient resistance. Resulting total voltage of the electrical network is reduced, filtered, isolating the thermal EMF, which is amplified and compared with a predetermined value of the voltage accepted for the corresponding degree of fire hazard of the electrical network, generating a warning signal about the occurrence of a fire hazard situation.
EFFECT: expansion of the technical means scope for monitoring faults in the electric network due to the possibility of recognizing a large transient resistance of the protected circuit in the spark-free mode.
