FIELD: fault detection.
SUBSTANCE: method for non-destructive fault monitoring in an electrical network includes connecting an input switch to two electrical installations, measuring the current of each electrical installation, receiving data on the current value is transmitted to the microcontroller, measuring the thermo-EMF when each electrical installation is turned on, the resulting total voltage of the electrical network is reduced, filtered, separating the thermo-EMF, contact resistance is calculated, thermo-EMF is recalculated for the maximum current of the contact connection and compared with the set value adopted for the corresponding degree of fire hazard of the electrical network, and if exceeded, a fire hazard signal of the contact connection is generated.
EFFECT: the detection of faults in the contact connection in the electrical network when connecting a load with a consumption current less than the nominal one.
