SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel hemin derivative, specifically a compound of formula (I)

where Men+ is Fe2+ or Fe3+; Hal- is F-, Cl-, Br- or I-, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also provided are a pharmaceutical composition, an antibacterial agent, an antiseptic, a disinfectant composition, methods for treating diseases caused by bacteria, and the use of a compound of formula (I).
EFFECT: proposed novel hemin derivative has antibacterial activity against a number of strains resistant to modern antibiotics.
