FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of computer technology and can be used to control data compression. Method comprises the steps of determining whether compression has been successful; and record whether the compression was successful, on the control surface in memory, which can be accessed by the graphics processing unit and the central processing unit by providing compression control bits (L/M) x log2M for each input, where L is the total number of memory lines on the page and M is the number of memory lines in the compressible module.
EFFECT: technical result is the improvement of performance and energy efficiency.
