SUBSTANCE: method for fragmented/defragmented memory access, including the use of a cache to implement the fragmented/defragmented memory access; sending a tracking loop to the structure of the tag to determine whether the tracked address is in the structure of the tag. The structure of the tag includes several blocks, each of which has a unique address and hash-address; comparing the tracked address with the tag in the mentioned tag structures for each block to determine if the tracked address is stored in the tag structure; and access to data associated with successive cache lines by specifying the start address in one cache line and the amount of data and determining the end address in the subsequent cache line to return the specified amount of data.
EFFECT: simplified access to fragmented, defragmented memory.
