FIELD: sport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sports, namely to ways of assessing the quality of rowing movements in rowing on kayaks in order to improve the sporting result. Method comprises the use of two high-speed video cameras, which simultaneously fix the stroke from two angles. In addition, light-reflecting labels are applied to the paddle blades, spatial coordinates of which relative to the center of the oar are known in advance. Videos, obtained during the filming, are processed by computer to determine the characteristics of the translational and rotational motion of the oar. Based on the known size of the used oar, by linear extrapolation and rotation of the coordinate axes, spatial coordinates of the labels of the underwater blades are determined.
EFFECT: calculation of the blade coordinates is carried out for each frame of the video sequence with the subsequent visualization of the stroke as a whole.
