FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, specifically to high-frequency electromagnetic radiation absorbers in the microwave range, and can be used to reduce the possibility of detecting different targets by radio detection means, to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of radio devices, protection of a person from harmful effects of radio waves generated by various industrial and household devices. To obtain a radar absorbent material, the hexagonal ferromagnetic Y-type oxide is ground to a size of less than 60 mcm. Powder is mixed with epoxy adhesive at ratio of 75:25 wt. %. Mixture is exposed to an external magnetic field of 3 kOe for 5 hours, held without external factors until complete polymerisation of the composite. Composite by means of thin layer of glue is fixed on metal substrate.
EFFECT: obtaining material with increased width of absorption region, low reflection coefficient, which enables to obtain radar absorbent coatings with lower weight per unit of covering surface.
