FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nephelometers. Device for optical examination of a sample comprises: an optical signal source, at least one first detector for obtaining an optical signal passed directly through the cuvette disposed in the device, capable of accommodating the cuvette with a narrowed lower part and a wide upper part, the perimeter of the wide upper part is greater than the perimeter of the lower narrowed part; and a second detector for receiving an optical signal from the optical source scattered by the contents in the lower part of the cuvette, the surface of the second detector is approximately parallel to the optical path extending from the optical source to the first detector. Device is also arranged to accommodate the cuvette, so that the first detector detects the optical signal passed directly through the narrowed lower part of the cuvette, the optical source, the first detector and the second detector are at least partially located in the apertures of the device.

EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy of optical examination of a small sample.
