SUBSTANCE: method of making chewing gum includes inducing gum through a plurality of apertures in a shape former to form a plurality of individual strands of extruded gum. Said plurality of individual strands of extruded gum are then cooled and said plurality of individual cooled strands of gum are agglomerated to obtain a mass of individual cooled gum strands. Said mass of individual cooled gum strands is shaped to produce a chewing gum of a predetermined shape. Chewing gum maker and chewing gum are also provided.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a product with a less mass per unit volume than a conventional chewing gum.
