FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The chewing gum base contains 40-95 wt % of polyethylene with average molecular weight equal to 2000-23000 dalton. Additionally proposed are a chewing gum and such chewing gum base production method. The method envisages formulation of a mixture of al elastomer, a filler and the elastomer solvent to produce a homogenous mixture. Then at least one additional component of the base is introduced into the formulated elastomer mixture. The additional component is chosen from among softeners, plastic resins, emulsifiers, fillers, antioxidants, colouring agents and their combinations. Then the components are mixed to produce a homogenous mass with the chewing gum base containing 45-95 wt % of polyethylene with average molecular weight equal to 2000-23000 dalton. A greater part or the whole of polyethylene is added after the elastomer mixture formulation.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce chewing gum with decreased adhesion to ambient surfaces.
