Method for processing the sonar information comprises signal emission, receiving a reflected echo signal, forming a fan of static directivity characteristics, each of which has a width Δβ0, digital multichannel processing, formation of a classification bank, display of information and management, formation of an array of successive temporal realizations for the entire time of emission-reception across all spatial channels, determination of correlation coefficients CC between successive temporal realizations of neighboring spatial channels, determination of neighboring spatial channels with correlation coefficient CC>0.5, measurement of the amplitudes of echoes in adjacent spatial channels with a correlation coefficient CC>0.5, determination of the course angle, determination of the angular extent of the object with respect to the number of adjacent channels with CC>0.5, determination of the maximum amplitude Amax summary temporary realization, definition of time extent, definition of TAmax temporary position Amax with respect to the radiation time, the determination of the distance D = 0.5 Ssound TAmax, where Ssound – speed of sound, data transfer to the classification bank.
EFFECT: automatic detection of echoes from objects of artificial origin in the presence of bottom and surface reverberations.
