FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical technology, namely, means for determining the blood oxygen saturation. Device comprises an interface for receiving data stream obtained from detected electromagnetic radiation, emitted or reflected from one or more areas of the skin of the object of investigation, said data stream comprising an information signal for each skin pixel for a plurality of skin pixels of said one or more skin regions, wherein the information signal represents the detected electromagnetic radiation, emitted or reflected from the corresponding pixel of the skin over time and having a constant (DC) portion and a variable (AC) portion, an analyzer for determining the variables (AC) of the information signal portions from said plurality of skin pixels and changing the oxygen saturation of the blood of said plurality of skin pixels based on said variables (AC) selector for selecting a group of skin pixels containing either i) skin pixels showing the fastest change in oxygen saturation of the arterial blood, at which oxygen saturation of the arterial blood changes earlier, or ii) the said plurality of skin pixels, with the exception of the skin pixels showing the slowest change in arterial oxygen saturation with oxygen, wherein the arterial blood oxygen saturation is changed later, the selector being configured to select said group of skin pixels by using the upper or lower threshold for oxygen saturation of arterial blood or by using a threshold for the percentage of skin pixels, which are selected from said plurality of skin pixels as said group, and a processor for determining the total oxygen saturation of the arterial blood of the test object on the basis of information signals from a selected group of skin pixels using photoplethysmography by i) averaging the blood oxygen saturation values determined for each skin pixel from the selected group of skin pixels based on the variable (AC) of the information signal portions of the said skin pixels, or ii) averaging the information signals of the skin pixels from the selected group of skin pixels, to obtain an average information signal and to determine the total oxygen saturation of the blood of the research object by the average information signal. Method for determining oxygen saturation with blood is carried out by means of a device using a computer-readable medium for a computer program.
EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to increase the sensitivity and accuracy of determining the oxygen saturation of the blood of the research object.
