FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and is aimed at creating a lighting strip with fewer solid-state lighting elements. Disclosed is lighting strip (100) comprising optical waveguide (120) extending in a length direction of said lighting strip and having a tapered portion tapering from thin edge (124) to thick edge (122) in a width direction of said strip, at least one solid state lighting element (110), incorporated in the optical waveguide and arranged to emit light into the optical waveguide in said length direction; and light scattering pattern (130) on thick edge (122) of the tapered portion for redirecting the emitted light to thin edge (124) of the tapered portion. Lighting system, panel support element (110) and modular panel system (200) including such lighting strip (100) are also disclosed.
EFFECT: invention is directed at creating a lighting strip with fewer solid-state lighting elements.
