SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for diagnosis of glaucoma, comprising: (a) providing a sample containing at least one and less than 10 at least partially purified ocular antigens; (b) reacting a body fluid with the ocular antigen sample provided in a step (a); (c) detecting and/or quantifying the reactions in step (b) between autoantibodies in the body fluid and the ocular antigen sample to determine the autoimmune reactivity of the ocular antigen sample; (d) comparing the measured values of autoimmune reactivity with standard data obtained for patients suffering from glaucoma and/or healthy individuals to determine the glaucoma score for a single specimen of the ocular antigen, and (e), possibly, determining the diagnostic result by evaluating a single glaucoma score. Invention relates to an element carrying an antigen, where the receiving area comprises an absorbent material for collecting tears or other body fluids and, optionally, designed so as to directly contact the patient. Invention also relates to a kit for diagnosis of glaucoma containing an element carrying an antigen, and the use of any of the ocular antigens or any combination of one or more of the ocular antigens of the following ocular antigens.
