FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of heat insulating materials with a rigid structure. When preparing the charge, first synthesized sodium hydrosilicate with a silicate module of 2.7–3.3 is synthesized by mixing dry sodium hydroxide with part of amorphous siliceous rock and hot water, which provides the formation of an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide with a concentration of 33–38 mass%. Portion of the amorphous silica and the calcined dolomite meal are added to the resulting sodium hydrosilicate. Charge is granulated, the granules are dusted in amorphous silica, the granules are loaded into closed-volume molds and foamed at a temperature of 750–780 °C for 20–40 minutes.

EFFECT: method for producing a foamed heat insulating material is proposed.
