FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely, to high-strength titanium alloys having a high specific strength. High-strength titanium alloy with an alpha-beta structure contains, by weight: Al 4.7–6.0; V 6.5–8.0; Si 0.15–0.6; Fe ≤ 0.3; O 0.15–0.23; Ti and random impurities – the rest. Al/V ratio is 0.65–0.8, with the Al/V ratio corresponding to the concentration of Al divided by the concentration V expressed in weight percent. Yield strength of the alloy at room temperature is at least 970 MPa, specific strength of at least 220 kN m/kg, an elongation of at least 10 % and a fracture toughness of at least 40 MPa∙m1/2.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high specific strength.
