FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to titanium alloys, and can be used for the manufacture of aircraft parts. Titanium alloy contains the following, wt %: aluminium 0.5–1.6; vanadium 2.5–5.3; silicon 0.1–0.5; iron 0.05–0.5; oxygen 0.1–0.25; carbon up to 0.2; titanium and random impurities – the rest, while it has a yield strength of 550–850 MPa, tensile strength of 600–900 MPa, ballistic resistance to impact loads with a ballistic limit V50 of more than 120 m/s and machinability at a turning capacity of V15 above 125 m/min.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength and corrosion resistance, as well as high resistance to failure in the conditions of impact, explosion of an explosive.
