FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preventing fires in electrostatic precipitators from a spark during the interelectrode gap electrical breakdown and can be used in power engineering and other industries. At the time of increased unburned fuel products ingress into the electrostatic precipitator, disconnected the high voltage supply to the electrodes is and disconnecting the electrodes cleaning mechanisms. After termination of such increased ingress, the high voltage is first applied to the electrostatic precipitator last field, simultaneously switching on the corona electrodes in this field cleaning mechanisms, raising it to the initial corona discharge voltage in this field and further to the anti-ignition voltage for this field, after the establishment of which switching on the precipitating electrodes in this field cleaning mechanisms. Then, with the predetermined time interval high voltage is sequentially applied to the electrostatic precipitator each previous field with the same sequence. Anti-ignition voltage, duration of its supply and the interval between the precipitation electrodes cleaning with its supply, are set individually for each field. After the anti-ignition voltage supply completion, setting the high voltage and the time interval between the precipitating electrodes cleaning individually in each of the fields.

EFFECT: preventing the unburned fuel products ignition in the electrostatic precipitator.
