SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of military equipment, in particular to the methods for reducing the thermal visibility of the combat vehicles at the running engine while crossing water obstacles. Exhaust engine gases are used in order to reduce thermal visibility, these gases are redirected by means of a bypass valve. In front of the vehicle floating on the water a gas-air layer is created, the temperature of which is reduced by water.

EFFECT: reduced thermal visibility of the vehicle at the running engine.
