FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: surge protection device comprises a protection switch comprising at least three electrodes configured to conduct an electric current between two electrodes when a certain voltage is reached between two electrodes from the at least three electrodes, wherein the at least three electrodes are separately connected in parallel, respectively, to the neutral wire N, the grounding wire PE and at least one phase L of the AC supply. Terminals of the neutral wire N comprise at least two terminal neutral wires N, leads of the grounding wire PE comprise at least two terminal ground grounding wires PE, the leads of each of the at least one supply phase L comprise at least two terminal wires of the supply phase L, wherein the at least two terminal neutral wires N, at least two terminal grounding wires PE and at least two terminal wires of each of the at least one supply phase L form at least two groups of terminals.
EFFECT: technical result is the elimination of the problem of attenuation of the power line communication (PLC) signal when a varistor is directly connected to the power wire and the quality of the PLC signal on the power line is improved.
