FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of bistatic radar stations (BRS). This result is achieved by using a bistatic radar consisting of an active transmitting phased array antenna configured to emit a radio frequency output signal and comprising a cylindrical or conical, or a truncated cone array of columns of active transmission modules; a reception antenna comprising a truncated cone array of columns, reception modules directed along a directed along the generatrix of a truncated cone, each reception module comprising in cascade an antenna element, analog amplifier, analog-to-digital converter, adapted to produce digital samples; full digital beam forming block adapted to receive in input and numerically process said digital samples.

EFFECT: detection of objects, control of surfaces, for example, to identify ships, control of airspace, possibility of sending guided missiles, ability to control artillery systems.
