FIELD: radar systems.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is radar system (1) comprising: a transmitting antenna of a plurality of linear antenna arrays (t1–t4) of elements of transmitting antenna (20), located on generatrix of truncated cone or cylinder surface; signal generator unit (2) connected to the transmitting antenna, configured to excite the transmitting antenna; receiving antenna, having several groups (g1–g4) of linear antenna arrays (r11–r1n, ..., r41–r4n) from receiving antenna elements (10) located on generatrix of truncated cone or cylinder surface, where each group (g1–g4) of linear antenna arrays of receiving antenna elements is located along the entire circumference between the first and second linear grids from elements of the transmitting antenna; a signal processor (drx, 4) connected to the receiving antenna. Signal generator unit (DRX, 4) for exciting radiating antenna, that first and second linear antenna arrays of elements of transmitting antenna emit respectively primary and secondary electromagnetic radiation at first and second frequencies, different from each other.

EFFECT: technical result is provision of radar system with homogeneous characteristics in azimuthal plane with less complicated structure.
