FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of carbon-carbon composite materials (CCCM) and can be used in rocket and space technology. Carbon-carbon composite material comprises a needle-punched framework of discrete length carbon fibers and a pyrocarbon matrix having an isotropic structure. To obtain the CCCM, discrete length carbon fibers are fragmented in thickness up to the filaments, combined into thin webs, from the webs a frame is formed in the form of needle-punched material and it is saturated with pyrocarbon thermogradient method at an excess pressure of 0.025–0.03 atm. in the methane environment.
EFFECT: reducing the permeability of articles to the airtightness without increasing the duration of their manufacture.
