FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of carbon-carbon composite materials (CCCM) based on a frame of a fabric-stitched structure and a coke-pyrocarbon matrix. Method of producing CCCM involves formation of a frame, its impregnation with a coke-forming binder, formation of a carbon-plastic workpiece, its carbonisation and saturation with pyrocarbon from the gas phase by a thermal gradient method. At that, the frame is formed by alternating along its thickness layers of workpieces from nonwoven material on the basis of discrete lengthwise and thickness fragmented carbon fibres and fabric workpieces, wherein laying of said layers is alternated with impregnation with coke-forming binder and joining together by drawing carbon threads from upper layers to lower layers by punch with metal needles with notches corresponding to fibre drawing direction. Coke-forming binder is preferably an epoxy binder with a coke number of 10-15. Thus CCCM is obtained, made on the basis of frame, in which fabric workpieces are alternated on thickness of frame with discrete lengthwise and fragmented on thickness carbon fibres, and layers from them are connected to each other by carbon threads drawn from the above layers. CCCM contains the following components, wt.%: discrete in length and fragmented in thickness carbon fibres – 9.4-10.8, long fibres of fabric workpieces – 22.5-24.3, carbon threads connecting frame layers – 3.7-4.5, coke-pyrocarbon matrix – 60.4-64.4.
