FIELD: carbon composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structures made of carbon-carbon composite material and can be used in power truss structures operating in an airless environment at high temperatures. A long-length small-diameter thin-walled pipe, produced on a circular loom, has a reinforcement with a 3D structure frame. The method of forming the specified product consists in forming a frame of a 3D-structure from high-modulus carbon fibers on a forming mandrel installed in a circular weaving machine. After that, the frame is saturated with pyrocarbon by the thermal gradient method. In this case, a pipe made of a refractory metal titanium or niobium is used as a mandrel, on which graphite foil is glued before the formation of the frame.
EFFECT: pipe made in this way has a significantly higher flexural strength and interlayer shear strength.
