FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for isolating glycosaminoglycans from secondary collagen-containing raw materials and can be used in the medical industry. Disclosed method includes purification and grinding of raw material, washing with phosphate buffer, enzymatic hydrolysis with collagenase and papain enzymes at a concentration of 200 U/g for 6–10 hours, at a temperature of 40–50 °C, pH 6.5–7.5, with their sequential application, subsequent precipitation of glycosaminoglycans with 96 % ethanol and separating the precipitate by centrifugation, ethanol reprecipitation, drying on a spray dryer, separation and purification by gel chromatography using Sephadex G25 and drying on a spray dryer.
EFFECT: novel effective method is disclosed, which enables to obtain high-quality and highly purified glycosaminoglycans for the preparation of pharmaceutical substances, which can be used for the production of biologically active substances and medicines.
