FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, mainly to coal industry, and can be used to prevent dangerous concentrations of methane near the cutter-loader. Method includes carrying out in-seam working, a straight-through scheme for ventilating the workings of the area, lighting the stream from lava with fresh air and sinking wells along the coal bed. At the same time, a planogram of cyclic operation of the harvesting machine is first compiled, then the time of coal excavation near the contact of lava and the ventilation output is set. Wells are carried out alternately along the ventilation workings, an additional amount of fresh air is fed to the area of the combine during the destruction of the coal massif near the contact of lava and the ventilation outlet along the nearest well.
EFFECT: technical effect: prevention of explosive accumulations of methane near the cutter-loader during coal excavation at the interface between the bottom-hole area of lava and ventilation with the outgoing air stream with a straight-through airing scheme for the excavation site.
