FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysical studies of oil and gas wells and is intended, in particular, to determine fluid flow characteristics in a well. In accordance with the method, at least one self-propelled self-propelled device is placed in the borehole, comprising internal means of movement that allow movement of the device in the borehole, and at least one internal sensor for determining the movement parameters of the device in the flow. During the movement of the device by means of built-in sensors, the parameters characterizing the movement of the device in the flow are determined, on the basis of which the characteristics of the fluid flow in the borehole are determined.
EFFECT: ability to measure fluid flow characteristics over time using small-sized, self-contained, small-sized devices, which opens the possibility of constructing long-term monitoring systems for wells, including branched wells and wells with several production intervals in one wellbore.
