SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology, and can be used to improve the effectiveness of cataract treatment in patients with concomitant macular disease with exudative activity. To this end, before the surgery, antiangiogenic therapy is performed by intravitreal administration of ranibizumab. 2–3 weeks after the next administration of the preparation, an ultrasonic phacoemulsification is performed. During the surgery, a "Diprospan" solution is introduced into the sub-Tenon's space. After 2–3 weeks after the surgery, the above antiangiogenic therapy continues.

EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the functional results of cataract surgery with a reduction in the likelihood of early recurrence of exudative neovascularization activity.
