FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, namely to ophthalmology and pharmacogenetics, and can be used in selecting a therapy in patients with exudative ("wet") and "dry" forms of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
EFFECT: method provides selection of adequate therapy for patients with various forms of AMD by analyzing polymorphisms of a certain group of genes that determine the choice of a basic preparation in the therapy, which enables therapeutic effect excluding possibility of complications related to individual peculiarities of organism of each individual patient.
