FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to optical connectors. Method for producing an optical connector includes engaging the first optical fiber with a pair of retention elements in a position remote from the end surface of the second end on both sides in the radial direction, first optical fiber having a layer of a solid matching refractive index of the material, said refractive index matching material layer is formed on the end surface of the second end located on the opposite side relative to the end surface of the first end facing the front end of the tip; and introducing the first optical fiber with a first end into a hole in the tip for fiber.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide a method for optical interconnection of optical fibers with low loss.
