FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle capable of movement using the power storage device output energy. Vehicle has the radiator grille, engine, power storage device, temperature sensor, damper, heater and controller. Power storage device is configured to be charged with electrical energy from external power source, which is provided outside the vehicle. Temperature sensor detects the engine coolant temperature. Damper is located in the air transport path, which is drawn into the engine compartment through the radiator grille, and switches between the closed state and the open state. Heater has ability to generate heat when receiving electrical energy from the external power source in order to raise the coolant temperature. Controller starts up the engine when the coolant temperature is below the start up threshold value, actuates the heater when the coolant temperature is below the first threshold value, which is equal to or higher than the start up threshold value, until the coolant temperature becomes equal to or greater than the first threshold value, and activates the damper in order to move the damper to the closed state at the time, when the heater is activated.
EFFECT: technical result is the engine coolant heating simplification.
