FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in engines of vehicles. Control method of vehicle engine (10) consists in that one or more cylinders (18) of multi-cylinder combustion engine (10) are connected to engine inlet manifold (25). During start-up and warm-up of engine (10), at first set of operating conditions fuel supply and ignition sparks are cut off into one or more cylinders (18) while one or several cylinders (18) are activated with activated inlet and outlet valves. Disclosed is version (method) of vehicle engine control and system of hybrid vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result consists in elimination of problems of stability of combustion during cold start of engine and in acceleration of heating of catalytic converter to eliminate undesirable emissions.
