To determine the optimal periodicity of the control, the conditions for the operation of the monitoring object are evaluated, the failure rate is determined, the set of periodic approximating functions is specified as the initial data, set the limits and the step of changing the parameters of approximating functions, form a set of data on the time and nature of the impact of various destabilizing factors, fix the values of the parameters of destabilizing factors, divide them into homogeneous groups, approximate the values of the parameters of the destabilizing factors of each of the homogeneous groups by approximating functions, determine the optimal control period, set the algorithms for calculating approximating functions, calculate the minimum possible for the given initial data, the accuracy of approximation, determine the minimum time for calculating the approximating function with the minimum accuracy of approximation, write the measurement results to the computer memory, extract the approximating function with the minimum calculation time, select the algorithm based on the criterion of using the minimum amount of memory used in the calculation of the algorithm, calculate the period of the approximating function, calculate the value of the frequency of the obtained function to determine the optimal control period.

EFFECT: it is ensured that the time for determining the optimum periodicity of control is shortened for a given computing power of automation equipment.
