FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the evaluation of the state of a polymer pipe during operation. This method consists in selecting a sample from a polymer pipe, which is used to determine the parameters that characterize the physico-chemical and physical-mechanical properties of the pipe and its maintainability, and these parameters are used to evaluate the state of the pipe in which the sample is taken from the pipe wall during installation of the saddle branch onto the pipe and it is a fragment of the pipe wall extracted from the pipe wall during installation of the saddle branch, the physical and mechanical characteristics are used as indicators – the yield strength of the material of the pipe wall fragment, the elongation at break and the elongation at the yield point, the physico-chemical index – induction period of oxidation;the maintainability index – weldability of sample material.
EFFECT: simplification and acceleration of evaluation is achieved.
