SUBSTANCE: invention describes a process for the preparation of 9-amino-2,3,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-1H-cyclopent[b]quinoline (formula I) by reaction 1',5',6',7'-tetrahydrospiro [cyclohexane-1,2'-[2H]cyclopentapyrimidine]-4'(3'H)-on with phosphorus oxychloride, taken in a molar ratio of 1:1.5, at a temperature of 105–115 °C, the reaction is carried out in a chlorinated hydrocarbon medium, the amount of which is 20 to 30 % of the volume of phosphorus oxychloride, followed by treatment of the reaction mixture with chloroform and water, the aqueous layer is extracted with chloroform and then the isolation of the ipidacrine base from the aqueous layer is carried out by one of the known methods. .
EFFECT: technical result is the improvement of technological synthesis by reducing the amount of waste, increasing the efficiency of production of ipidacrine-base by increasing the yield of the target compound.
