FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the environment illumination radio location stations (RLS). Such result is achieved due to the fact, that the survey RLS antenna is placed at on the terrain point providing the surrounding space unshaded view and performing the sequential survey, identifying the natural obstacles presence in the coverage area, covering the space behind them, on these obstacles placing the radar signals re-transmitters system providing the direct signals reception from the RLS and their translation towards the located in the shadow area targets, as well as reflected by the targets signals reception and their retransmission towards the RLS antennas, using these repeater systems receiving radiated by the RLS antenna direct radar ranging signals, with the amplification or without amplification transmitting the received signals through the repeater system, emitting the received signals, irradiating located in the shadow zone targets with the relayed signals, receiving, with the amplification or without amplification, the received reflected signals through the repeaters system, radiating by means of repeaters in the direction of the RLS antenna the re-reflected by the targets in the shadow zone signals, receiving by the RLS antenna, amplifying and reproducing on the RLS indicator reflected by shaded targets signals and distances to the detected targets, adjusting the range to the detected in the shadow zone targets, taking into account of the double propagation delay in the repeaters system, at that, the surveillance radar signal has at least two carrier frequencies, emitting the received signals in the direction of the obscured by this obstacle area of space (receiving reflected from the target signals), repeaters antennas pattern main lobes, have different direction depending on the coming from the surveillance radar station signal frequency. Directions to the target are determined by the ratio of reflected from the target signals at different operating frequencies. Implementing the method devices are made in the certain way.

EFFECT: located in the shadow area at equal distances from the RLS antenna targets number and bearing coordinates determination.
