FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing a product from pipe billets and can be used in the technological processes for manufacturing heat exchange panels by laser welding. They are cooled by volume by supplying the cooling liquid in the cavity of the welded billets up to the moment of welding. Tube billets are welded with a laser beam in stages. In the first stage, the billets are welded in pairs, in the second stage, the welded billets are welded together into blocks, and in the subsequent stages the blocks obtained are welded together to obtain the required product size. Also, the welding parameters are kept constant at the stages of manufacturing the product by controlling the flow rate of the coolant, which is determined by a certain ratio. In the process of welding, a transverse compression force is applied to the welded workpieces, the value of which does not exceed the elastic limit of the material of the workpieces.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in reducing the level of welding stresses and deformations due to compensation of excessive thermal energy of the welded seam.
