FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of laser welding of hollow articles and can be used in technological processes of making hollow discs of turbines, compressors and fans of gas turbine engines. In the method of laser welding of hollow items on the mating edges a laser beam is supplied with a specified focal distance, in the welding zone a flow of protective gas is supplied, in the zone of the focusing device an additional stream of protective gas is created. Focusing device used is a rotary mirror, and the optical channel is placed in the cavity of the article along its axis of symmetry. Laser beam is supplied to the edges on the side of the inner cavity of the article; an additional stream of shielding gas is created in the form of the first flow from the outer side of the optical channel and the second flow along the reflecting surface of the rotary mirror. Cooling liquid flow is created on the reverse surface of the rotary mirror.

EFFECT: creating the gas ejection effect on the surface of the rotary mirror, providing stability of the heat state of the reflecting surface of the rotary mirror and improving the quality of the weld.
