FIELD: construction; technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to corrosion protection of underground structures, in particular, to adjusting potentials of cathodic protection of sections of a protected structure. Method comprises assigning reference points in which the value of "pipe-earth" potential is determined, changing the cathodic protection parameters of each cathodic protection station, determining influence factors of each j-th station on the "pipe-earth" potential at each i-th reference point by the formula: , compilation of a system of linear equations of dependence of the potential at the reference point on current values of each of the stations, calculation of the current values of each station and setting the calculated current values at the output of the stations, wherein cathodic protection parameters of each station are changed without changing the current parameters of the remaining stations and, not allowing the transition of the "pipe-earth" potential at the reference points to the region of unacceptable values, wherein the potential "pipe-earth" value is measured after its stabilization, and the stationary potential at the reference points is determined by the formula: ϕstii – A11⋅I1 – A12⋅I2 –…– Aij⋅Ij, where ϕsti – stationary potential at the i-th reference point, V, i=1; 2; … k; ϕi – measured potential at the i-th reference point, V; Aij – coefficients of influence of the j-th station on the potential at the i-th reference point, Ohm; Ij – current value at the output of the station, A, j=1; 2; … n; n – number of stations influencing the potential at the i-th reference point; k – number of reference points.

EFFECT: reduced time for adjusting optimum parameters of operating conditions of the cathodic protection stations and constant maintenance of the potentials in the adjusted ranges.
