FIELD: means of anti-corrosive protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of anti-corrosive protection and can be used to increase the reliability of the cathodic protection system of the main pipeline in urban conditions. The method is characterized by the fact that a hardware complex is installed in the pipeline with the equipment of the electrochemical corrosion protection system, which provides remote measurement and control of the parameters of the protection system through the use of cathodic protection installations (CPI) and control and measuring points at the control points of the equipment of remote corrosion monitoring subsystems, providing measurement of protection parameters, equipment of the control and measuring point subsystems and a software module that makes it possible, on the basis of the received parameters of the protection system in real time, to calculate the optimal operating modes of the CPI, determine the CPI that can be put into reserve with ensuring the protection of the pipeline at all control points, disconnect the necessary CPI, establish and maintain the minimum sufficient operating modes of the CPI, preventing the transition of the pipe-to-ground potential into the area of unacceptable values.
EFFECT: increasing reliability of the main gas pipelines and the protection system by reducing the equipment downtime, using corrosion monitoring equipment, optimizing the loads on the CPI, resulting in decreased hydrogen release, which affects the strength of the pipe wall.
