SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and is intended for use in the treatment of flexion contracture of the elbow joint in children with arthrogryposis. Fascia of forearm is dissected. Carry out tenolysis of tendons of the biceps muscle of the arm and the brachioradial muscle. Carry out neurolysis of the median nerve. Carry out skin plastic with interchanging triangular flaps along the front surface of the elbow joint. After that, further application of the gypsum dressing with the built-in distraction device is carried out with the possibility of distraction of 3–4 mm per day up to the angle of extension in the elbow joint of 170–180 degrees of elimination of contracture.

EFFECT: method by eliminating the imbalance between flexors and extensors of the forearm, as well as fibrous changes of soft tissues along the anterior surface of the elbow joint, makes it possible to increase the efficiency of treatment of flexion contracture of the elbow joint in children with arthrogryposis.
