METHOD OF TREATING FLEXION CONTRACTURE OF ELBOW JOINT IN OLDER CHILDREN WITH ARTHROGRYPOSIS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedics and can be used for treating elbow flexion contracture in older children with arthrogryposis. Correcting corticotomy of the olecranon is performed with excision of the wedge. Fragments are aligned and fixed with wires with a thread. Olecranon is consolidated, stage gypsum is incised with a built-in distraction device along an anterior surface of the elbow joint until achieving a functionally beneficial extension in the elbow joint. Distal muscle of the back is separated from the chest in the distal portion with preservation of a fixation point on a humerus. Elbow ulnar process of elbow bone is extracted from arched incision along posterior surface of elbow joint. Isolated broadest muscle of the back is transferred into the subcutaneous canal formed on the posterior surface of the shoulder, then its transosseous fixation is performed to the elbow in a tension position.

EFFECT: method ensures achievement of functionally beneficial extension in elbow joint in remote terms due to corrective osteotomy.
