SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. Proposed is an electrochemical method for preserving at least one perishable food product that includes a closed container, which contains water-based moisture, at least one perishable food product and at least one device for the electrolysis of water, wherein said at least one water electrolysis device comprises a substrate and at least one melanin material, selected from the group consisting of melanin, melanin precursor compounds, melanin compound derivatives, melanin analogues and melanin species; as well as a source of electromagnetic energy for said at least one device for electrolyzing water in the container, for initiating the electrolysis reaction of water, by means of said at least one melanin material apparatus for water electrolysis; and maintaining said at least one perishable food product and the apparatus for electrolyzing water in the container, so that said at least one perishable food product is preserved. Above system for preserving at least one perishable food product, comprising: (a) closed container containing: (i) water-based moisture; (ii) at least one device for electrolyzing water, wherein said at least one water electrolysis device comprises a substrate and at least one melanin material selected from the group consisting of such materials as melanin, melanin precursor compounds, melanin compound derivatives, melanin analogs and melanin species; and (iii) at least one perishable food product; and (b) electromagnetic energy source for exciting said at least one device for electrolyzing water in the container.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the method of preserving the products, as well as to increase the conservation time without the use of various chemicals.
