FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Time-frequency resources in one PRB pair are used, both for frequency-localized transmissions, and also for distributed transmissions. First control message is transmitted (2710) to first user equipment (UE) using the first pair of PRBs, using the first subsets of the resource elements, which are aggregated in a frequency-localized manner, and which are transmitted using a single antenna port. Second control message is simultaneously transmitted (2710) to second UE, also using first PRB pair, using the second resource subsets, which are aggregated in frequency-distributed manner through first pair of PRBs and one or more additional PRB pairs and which are transmitted using at least two antenna ports, including one antenna port, used to transmit symbols in the first non-overlapping subsets of resource elements.

EFFECT: technical result is that both localized and distributed PDCCHs can be flexibly supported for different ePDCCH transmissions.
