FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials for absorbing electromagnetic radiation and can be used to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic devices, protect biological objects from electromagnetic radiation, as well as reduce the radio-visibility of military and civil facilities. Material comprises a nonwoven fabric base and a radio absorbing coating applied to its surface by vacuum spraying. Metals – iron, nickel, chromium, cobalt, copper, silver, titanium, zinc, aluminum, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, zirconium, tin, indium, lead and gold, their alloys or their compounds with nitrogen, oxygen, or carbon are used as the radio-absorbing coating.
EFFECT: improved radio-absorbing properties over a wide range of frequencies and simplified fabrication of the material.
