FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, to materials for absorbing electromagnetic waves, and can be used to improve stealthiness and reduce probability of detection of radar objects of sea ground, aircraft and space equipment, as well as provide electromagnetic compatibility of radioelectronic and radio engineering devices and systems. Radar-absorbent coating contains two to eight layers of nonwoven dielectric material with applied on one side on each layer by magnetron sputtering a film of hydrogenated carbon with nanoclusters of metal atoms, protected by a thin fibre glass layer from external action. Layers are fixed by thermal treatment and substrates for solid absorbing films used are lutrasil and geotextile.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of coating during absorption of electromagnetic radiation in a wide wavelength range with simultaneous increase of its flexibility, reduction of thickness and weight of entire coating structure.
