SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic cigarette cartridge, an electronic cigarette, a method for delivering nicotine to a user, a method for evaporating a liquid formulation based on nicotine. Electronic cigarette cartridge contains a liquid formulation based on nicotine, containing nicotine and benzoic acid in a liquid carrier; wherein the concentration of nicotine in the liquid formulation based on nicotine is from about 4% (w / w) to about 12% (w / w); liquid carrier contains glycerol and propylene glycol, and the molar ratio of benzoic acid to nicotine in the liquid formulation based on nicotine is about 1:1. Method for providing the user with nicotine involves heating the liquid formulation based on nicotine in the electronic cigarette to produce an inhaled aerosol, wherein the liquid formulation based on nicotine contains nicotine and benzoic acid in the liquid carrier; wherein the concentration of nicotine in the liquid formulation based on nicotine is from about 4% (w / w) to about 12% (w / w); liquid carrier contains glycerin and propylene glycol and the molar ratio of benzoic acid to nicotine in the liquid formulation based on nicotine is about 1:1; and inhalation of the aerosol by the user.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to ensure user satisfaction that is superior to the effect of the administration of free base nicotine.
